Events for March 27, 2017
Breaking Silence is the first film of its kind in documenting American Muslim women's stories about their sexual assault experiences coping, coming out to their families and friends, and their insight about the change that needs to take place to help survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and prevent reoccurrences.
Join HEART Women & Girls, VigilantLOVE and the NASW-USC as they kickoff Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a powerful film screening and discussion with the filmmakers of Breaking Silence.
Learn about sexual violence in the Muslim community and the role we can play in creating safer spaces for survivors in an era of gendered Islamophobia.
